“After a busy fall and what seemed to be a long winter I stopped to give my vehicle a much needed oil change. I knew that it had been a while since the last one because the “Oil Change Required” message was on and that little reminder sticker was way past the 3000 Mile/3 Month mark. Of course, I know the best thing we can do for the life of our vehicle’s engine is to get regular oil changes. I once saw the sludge that accumulates in the engine and was advised to also get a Super Engine Flush to get rid of all the buildup inside. It occurred to me that it would be helpful if we had the same tools available for our bodies! I believe that if we don’t do anything differently, we will get the same results that we have been getting – more energy-zapping illness and time-robbing diseases that we’ll be covered for just detecting, (hopefully sooner) and for the expensive drugs or surgeries to treat them. Just as our auto insurance covers “major accidents” but not maintenance, our health depends on us taking care of ourselves to prevent illness and disease.
We know our vehicles need seasonal maintenance. We also change and clean our wardrobes in the spring, and after a long winter of harsh weather and accumulations of dirt, our homes need a spring-cleaning. Well, our bodies need some spring attention too due to the poor quality of the air – both inside and out, chemical and hormone-laden food, polluted water and stress. The weather, in combination with the wrong foods, too little exercise and even less outdoor activity, usually causes us to gain weight and waste that we want to lose before the swimsuits and beach season is here.
So, I ask, “Have you started your spring-cleaning?” What condition are your blood, liver, colon and kidneys in? Who doesn’t want to look their best and be in great shape?
